The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach

The Art of FieldingNot being able to relate to baseball or American college life meant that it took me a long time to get into this book. By halfway it was 50/50 whether I would be able to keep going, by two-thirds, my interest was piqued and by the three-quarter mark I was fully invested thereby knocking a solid 3.5* up to 4*.

So yes it is still possible to enjoy this book, even if you know nothing about the game of baseball, because, after all, it is more about the complexity of human relationships than it is about boys who hope to get paid a ridiculous amount to throw and bat a small white ball.

Book: 4*

Cover: 3*
