I’ve never read a non-JD Robb Nora Roberts book before so I thought this would be a good place to start.
It was ….. pedestrian would be a word I’d use to describe it, I think. Enjoyable but lacking the wow factor.
I detest any sort of paranormal-type creatures so I thought Lizzie the ghost was highly unnecessary in this type of book but I guess towards the end I grew to find the “ghost” element bearable.
One can’t help but compare this book with Jill Shalvis’ Lucky Harbor series and there’s no doubt in my mind that Jill Shalivis’ books about running an inn as a family business were much more engaging but then, I guess, to make a fair judgement, I shall have to finish reading this trilogy before giving my final verdict.
