I really liked the first half of the book with the set-up of reuniting two ex-lovers for a marketing ploy to benefit both of their businesses. However, after they slept together the first time, things went downhill simply because of the endless cycle of Daisy feeling the attraction and then pushing Cole away.
Cole’s brother was slimy but his father, god his awful father! What an odious man! I would have been much happier if the resolution to that toxic relationship was that Cole quit his job and refused to work for his father any more.
The biggest flaw of the book, in my opinion, was the fact we had Cole maintaining all the way through that he would never marry and give up the single lifestyle but then all of a sudden, in a blink of an eye, he decided things had changed and whoosh he’s off trying to get Daisy back. This sudden change just wasn’t believable to me.
