Chicago Med: 2×21 – Deliver Us

★★★½

Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) fights to save a mother who’s desperate to help her daughter beat cancer. Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) asks Sarah (Rachel DiPillo) to conduct his daughter Robin’s (Mekia Cox) psych evaluation but has difficulty staying out of the case. When Will (Nick Gehlfuss) and Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) spend more time together at work, Nina (guest star Patti Murin) goes to extreme measures to get Will’s attention. Meanwhile, Dr. Choi (Brian Tee) puts pressure on Noah (guest star Roland Buck III) when a residency spot becomes available.

So I am guessing that Jeff the medical student is officially AWOL?  I mean I know he was only brought in to serve the sole purpose of jumping into bed with Dr Manning and as a rival to Will but you would have thought in an episode about med students trying to get a residency at Med, he would have at least appeared in the group with Noah.

Speaking of Noah, I know he’s April’s brother and he’s clearly meant to be flawed but I don’t like him.  I’m hoping that he gets a residency somewhere else and definitely doesn’t become a main character in Season 3.

The poor cancer girl was clearly the only one with any sense in her family.  I get wanting to do anything to save your sick child but willing to be put into a vegetative state and die just to allow the baby to be carried to term is rather extreme and very short-term thinking.

Can’t say I really care too much about Robin but wow, her apartment was super scary and I have to say I kind of agreed with Dr Charles when he had her sectioned.

And then the whole Natalie/Will/Nina triangle ….. well, I am definitely not a fan of Nina’s and I spent the whole of Season 1 rooting for Will/Natalie but I think Natalie definitely threw away her chance with Will when she chose Jeff over him and it certainly doesn’t give her any right to make a play for Will now.  A possible Jay/Natalie is definitely intriguing though and probably more than enough to get Will to choose her over Nina by the season finale.
